Nursery For Toddlers – (2 to 3 Years)

The staff in the toddler room are all qualified experienced Nursery nurses who have worked with the 2-3-year age group for many years, dedicated to providing a stimulating environment, working in partnership with parents, helping your child to develop and grow, Keyworkers work alongside parents getting to know the children, expanding their use of language, emotions as well as physical development. We support potty training when child and parent are ready to tackle this important stage.

We have two toddler rooms, and this allows for small groups of children to benefit from plenty of space and resources, boosting their confidence and supporting their learning. The main toddler room has direct access to its own outdoor area, where there is a mud kitchen, cars bikes and pushchairs, the artificial grass allows for all indoor activities to be set up outside. The “in the moment planning” works with your child’s interests and expands with adult support into cooperative learning through play. This allows your child to develop their communication skills, helps them to become more independent and gives them the ability to communicate their needs, allowing them to move to our Pre-School with confidence and ease.

Areas of learning are supported through monthly observations, small “in the moment” snippets and photos all used alongside the EYFS. This is shared with the parent via online access. We work with the Health visitors doing the 2 -year old checks which supports your child in areas that are outstanding as well as those that may need more development.
