Childcare Funding
At Sandfield Day Nursery we offer fully funded childcare as part of the governments nationwide scheme for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. This will soon be extended to eligible children from 9 months old.
There are no additional charges if you would like a fully funded place with us, meals will be included.
We are part of the two year early learning programme and the national education fund that offers 15 and 30 hours free childcare.
Age 2 -Two year old early learning programme
There are two schemes under which 2 year old children can qualify:
If you are on any of the following:
- Income Support
- Income-based job seekers allowance
- Universal credit (if you are earning less than £15,400 a year after tax)
- Tax credits (If your annual family income is less than £16,190 before tax)
- The guaranteed element of state pension credit
- Support through part 6 of the immigration and asylum act.
- The working tax credit 4 week run on (the payment when you stop qualifying for working tax and claim tax credits)
You may still be eligible for this funding if you do not meet any of the above criteria but one of the below apply:
- The child is looked after by the local council
- The child has a current statement of special educational needs or an education, health and care plan.
- The child gets disability living allowance
- The child has left care under; a special guardianship order, child arrangements order or adoption order.
There is also another offer for working parents of 2 year olds:
Working parents who each earn more than £8,670 or 16 hours at the National Minimum Wage - but less than £100,000 per year, will be eligible.

Once you have been accepted for the two year old early learning programme you will receive a letter confirming the date your child will be eligible to start, usually the term after their second birthday.
Once your child has become eligible for funding we can give you 15 hours per week free childcare, over 38 weeks of the year term time only.
Age 3-4 -Nursery Education fund
Every child above three years old qualifies to 15 hours free childcare per week, for 38 weeks per year the term after their third birthday.

- To be eligible for 30 hours free funding you must be working and earning a weekly wage suitable within the government guidelines
If you or your partner are earning more than £100,000 per year, unfortunately you will not be eligible for 30 hours free childcare.
This funding must be applied for each term and you must give us the code that you will receive once it is confirmed that you are eligible.
Once we have received your code we can provide 30 hours funding per week term-time only.

We offer fee-based day care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. All prices include meals. All of our meat is Halal and individual dietary requirements can be met.

Competitive Prices
We endeavour to keep our prices as competitive as possible without ever conceding on the quality of care your child receives. Prices are subject to change on a yearly basis from September.
You could also be entitled to up to 85% of your childcare costs being met in the form of Tax Credits, Universal Credit, or be entitled to tax free childcare. Please contact the Inland Revenue for more details.

We offer a 10% discount for students on a full-time basis only.
